Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
Please provide any and all reports, including audio or video recordings, of an unattended death in the 1700 block of Pine Street in Highland, IL on or about Aug. 7, 2021. Please include any reports related to that death generated by other agencies, but provided to the Highland Police Department
Please also provide any reports, including audio or video recordings of an unattended death on or about Aug. 8, 2021 in the vicinity of Silver Lake Park .
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

At this time the Highland Police Department will be denying this request due to a pending law enforcement investigation pursuant to section 7(1)(d). Once the investigation has closed I can send you the report.
As for the incident on August 8 at Silver Lake that investigation was handled by the Madison County Sheriff's Office. Please reach out to them for any information in reference to that incident.
