Public Records Request – Arrest of Hannah Lecomte – July 11, 2024 (Ref #24HI-212-AR)

Pursuant to the New Hampshire Right to Know Law, I hereby request the following records:

I respectfully request access to the following public records relating to the arrest of Hannah Lecomte on July 11, 2024, by the Hillsboro Police Department. The arrest occurred at or near Manahan Beach, Route 9 & Icehouse Road, Hillsboro, NH 03244, and is recorded under reference number 24HI-212-AR.

Specifically, I request:

All available body-worn camera footage from any officers involved in this arrest.

All relevant dash camera footage from Hillsboro Police cruisers present at the scene.

All rear-seat (in-cruiser) camera footage, especially during the period when Ms. Lecomte caused damage to the transport area and later assaulted an officer.

The complete incident and arrest reports, including officer narratives, booking and transport records, and any supplemental documentation.

Lecomte was reportedly underage and intoxicated, resisted arrest, and while secured in the cruiser, damaged the interior and assaulted an officer during transport or processing. She was later held in preventive detention at Hillsborough County House of Corrections.

This request is made in the public interest, not for commercial use. The requested materials pertain to police handling of an allegedly intoxicated young adult in custody, use of force, and possible cruiser damage. Disclosure would contribute meaningfully to public understanding of police procedures and detainee treatment.

I request a waiver of all applicable fees and digital delivery of responsive records where available. If any part of this request is denied, please provide a written explanation citing the specific legal exemption(s) under RSA 91-A.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
