Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
The incident report for the murder of Shante Thompson (legal name possibly Robert Isaac) in Midtown in Houston in the early morning hours of 4/12/2016.
This request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

In February 27, 2018, we received your public information request pertaining to a Murder that occurred on April 12, 2016, involving Shante Thompson aka Robert Isaac. Based upon the information you provided, we were unable to locate any responsive document, therefore, we are closing our file. However, if you obtain further information such as the incident number, officers name or any other parties involved, we will search our records again. You will need to resubmit your request once additional information is provided.

Thank you for your response. Here is additional information about this case:
The murder likely occurred on April 11, 2016 (not April 12) on Dennis St. near Fannin and McGowen. There were two victims: one man named Willie Sims and one transgender woman whose legal name is not known. At least one person was arrested in relation to this case, named Tariq Lackings.
