Pursuant to the Idaho Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

All written communications with any of the following terms “avian influenza,” “bird flu,” “H5,” “H5N1,” and/or “HPAI” in the subject line or text that were sent or received by Idaho Central District Health employees between March 1, 2024 and date of production of records responsive to this request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

To aid in your determination of any fees related to this request, I am a journalist working for KFF Health News, a national nonprofit newsroom that covers health and health care in the United States and documents sought are of significant public interest. In the event that there are fees that exceed $100, please provide me a written cost estimate in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.
