To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:

Any contingency plans made by your office for the potential outbreak of COVID-19, coronavirus, screening and management of cases, or plans for “social distancing” for any detention facility, jail, or similar. I am also requesting similar records for any guidance your office might have provided the U.S. Health and Human Services, which is responsible for housing children on immigration holds (unaccompanied alien children or UACs).

Discussions between your office and licensed facilities that house UACs.

Any contingency plans made by your office that might include the following keywords, “social distancing,” “quarantine,” “self-isolation,” and “self-observation".

Communications between your office between your facility and other health authorities about COVID-19 or the coronavirus.

Any protocols, procedures or similar that your office might have for contagious diseases, pandemic planning, viral outbreaks or similar.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
