Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
Documentation detailing the cost of elections by polling location or polling center, dated between 2019 and the present.
Ultimately, my goal is to understand how much money is saved or spent altering the number of polling locations. If there is a better way to request this information, I'm all ears.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Because the Illinois State Board of Elections does not conduct elections, we have no responsive documents to the attached request.
In Illinois, 108 local election authorities conduct elections and bear all associated costs.
To obtain election budget information, you should contact the local authorities directly. You can find contact information for all of them on our website here<https://www.elections.il.gov/ElectionOperations/ElectionAuthorities.aspx>.
