From: Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department
Good morning, Ms. Lipton,
Please be advised that the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (“IMPD”) is governed by the county public safety retention schedule as provided by the State of Indiana here: https://www.in.gov/iara/files/county_publicsafety.pdf
The agency has nothing responsive in reference to the indices of the records management program or “other data structures used for the management of records.” Our records management program is a web-based Motorola program used in conjunction with the Department of Public Safety CAD system.
I have attached the General Order that references record keeping and the agency.
Also, the agency is attempting to better streamline our records request process. If you would, please submit future requests to: https://www.indy.gov/activity/request-a-public-record.
Warm regards,
