Pursuant to the Iowa Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
All emails sent and received by Athletic Director Beth Goetz from Jan. 1, 2024 through May 15, 2024 that contain any of the following four terms:
1. Larissa
2. Libby
3. Gymnastics
4. Education and Sports Law Group
I ask that the emails be retrieved via separate keyword searches.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

We will put together a time/cost estimate for searching for, retrieving, and reviewing responsive records, in accordance with our fee schedule<https://transparency.uiowa.edu/faqs/public-records-fee-schedule>. Please note that your keywords - in particular, "Gymnastics" - may produce a high volume of responsive records (including schedules, media releases, etc.), so the time to compile and review records could be substantial. If you would like to narrow the scope of your request, please let me know.
Please also note that records may be exempt from disclosure based on confidentiality exceptions under Iowa Code Chapter 22, including but not limited to, Iowa Code 22.7(11) (confidential personnel records).
Finally, your date range goes into the future (May 15). We don't process future requests for records that don't yet exist. We will retrieve responsive records up to the time your request was received.

I wanted to seek clarification regarding your last email below. I had asked if you would consider narrowing the scope of your request, but if I'm understanding correctly, your response would expand the scope. Your original request asked for emails going back to January 1, 2024. Are you now asking for emails going back to January 1, 2023?
