Kansas City, MO Public Employee Compensation Data

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the The Missouri Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

Compensation data for all employees of the Kansas City, MO Police Department for the most recent year in which complete data are available (preferably 2020).

Specifically, I request that these data include, for each employee: Name, Job Title, Earnings (required), and age, gender, ethnicity, and hire date (if available).

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

I must offer 2 apologies here: first, the MuckRock platform does not seem to allow me to copy multiple people on a response, and second, I'm not sure what separate email you are referring to. This is first time I have submitted this request and I only submitted it today, so I greatly appreciate your quick response!

Just to clarify: this is just the KCPD payroll and does not include personnel from other Kansas City Departments, correct?
