Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Please provide me with records of the police response to the shooting committed by Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood on 11/5/2009. The records I'm requesting include but are not limited to incident reports and discharged round reports.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

As such, I am responding to the correspondence dated August 22, 2016 which was received by the City of Killeen on August 26, 2016. In that correspondence, you advised that you had not yet received a response to the request for information submitted to the Killeen Police Department asking for records related to the Ft. Hood shooting involving Nadal Hasan.
The City of Killeen received your original request on August 08, 2016 and a response was emailed to you, via the email provided (requests@muckrock.com<mailto:requests@muckrock.com>) on August 22, 2016. At this time, I am forwarding the original email and response to you.

As you sent the email below by responding to the email I sent you on August 31, 2016, wherein I re-sent the City of Killeen's response to request for information #W019988 asking for a complete copy of police report number 09-015327, involving Nadal Hasan, it is my presumption that you did receive the city's original response. If not, I have attached the email herewith - the original response is attached to the email.
I also presume that, as the subject line has been changed from what I entitled it in my August 31, 2016 email "KCA: Request for Information #W019988 re Ft. Hood Shooting Records (Nadal Hasan)" to "RE: Public Information Act Request #OR2016-19728", you have received a copy of Letter Ruling number OR2016-19728 which is the State of Texas Office of the Attorney General's ("OAG") response to the City of Killeen's request for a ruling from the OAG. OR2016-19728 is the ID# assigned to the request by the OAG; W019988, is the ID# assigned to the request by the City of Killeen.
A reading of Letter Ruling #OR2016-19728, issued to the City of Killeen on August 31, 2016, provides that the City of Killeen "may withhold the submitted information" (which is police report number 09-015327); however, the OAG also determined that the city must release the basic information.
The basic information for police report number 09-015327 was originally released to you, via email, on August 22, 2016; it was subsequently released to you, via email, on August 31, 2016, and it is attached to this email. Please note; whenever the OAG advises the city "may withhold the submitted information", the city does not release any additional information.
As the basic information has been released to you on the dates referenced above and is being released with this email, the city will not release any other records related to police report number 09-015327, involving Nadal Hasan.
