The KCSO is experiencing a high volume of open requests, exceeding 630; 625 of which came in prior to your request. While we attempt to processing requests in the order received that is not always possible depending on the scope, complexity and sheer volume of records responsive to a request.

Your request requires significant research to identify responsive records. In addition, you did not provide a date range, therefore, if we don't hear from you by February 11, 2019, we will perform our search using a date range of January 11, 2018 to Present.

Depending upon the results of our search, we may need to provide responsive record through a series of installments. You can expect a first installment by May 17, 2019. If we are unable to meet this self-imposed deadline, we will let you know. If we are able to provide a response sooner, we will certainly do so. In the meantime, please be aware that your request may be subject to fees as allowed under RCW 42.56.120.

Please go to https://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/sheriff/services/public-disclosure/faqs-for-public-disclosure.aspx (https://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/sheriff/services/public-disclosure/faqs-for-public-disclosure.aspx) and select " What is the cost to obtain public records" for reference of fees we may charge.

Once we have identified responsive records, we may provide an estimate for fees requiring 10% down prior to processing your request, and full payment prior to release for each installment. Please reply to this message or log in to the Online Request System if you have any questions or would like to clarify or cancel this request.

Sincerely, Kimberly Petty | Public Disclosure Program Manager | Sheriff's Administration 206.263.2630 | www.kingcounty.gov/sheriff
