Pursuant to the Nevada Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
1. Any policy concerning press or media credentials (that is, who is eligible for applying for a press credential, the standards applied to applications, or what access or privileges are granted by a press credential).
2. A copy of any media distribution list currently used by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, including any email or mailing list.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department - Public Records Unit hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, Juneteenth, Nevada Day, the day after Thanksgiving and December 24th. Any public record requests made outside of normal business hours will be deemed received the next business day. At any time, you may monitor the status of your request by logging into your Public Records portal account.
***Please note that holidays that fall on a Saturday or Sunday will be observed the preceding Friday or the following Monday. There are 13 holidays that LVMPD observes throughout the year. Based on this information, adjust your request accordingly.

Good Afternoon,
This correspondence is in response to your LVMPD Public Records Request NPR2024-0063531. You were requesting the following:

In response to Item #1 – LVMPD is not the custodian of the Nevada Revised Statutes. However, a link to them is here NRS Search (state.nv.us)<http://search.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS.html>. To the extent your request seeks a legal opinion, that would be privileged. NRS 49.185; Cotter v. Eighth Judicial Dist. Court of Nev., --- Nev. ---, 416 P.3d 228 (2018). In any case, no specific records exist other than the policies provided here.
