Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:

Recent news media articles have shown a LaSalle County officer playing copyrighted music when filmed by a citizen: https://www.vice.com/en/article/wx89kn/it-sure-looks-like-this-cop-played-country-music-to-avoid-being-filmed

Therefore, I request the following records:

- Any body camera, surveillance camera, or audio footage of the above incidents
- Any emails, memos, documents, messages, about or that mention the above incidents or any other similar incidents the department is aware of
- Any documents, emails, text messages, presentations, trainings, or other recordings about, mentioning, pertaining to, or related to the playing of copyrighted materials while being filmed
- Any documents, presentations, trainings, or guidance about what police officers should do if they are being filmed or recorded by the public

These will be used in the course of reporting for Motherboard, VICE Media's science and tech website.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Hi, I am willing to narrow the scope of "messages" to mean emails and any memos circulated about the incident or about playing music while being filmed / what to do while being filmed. In the investigative report, James Knoblouch states that he was "recently advised" to play music. If he was advised this in writing I would like a copy of whatever that advisement is.
