Ms. Abney,

Under the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records within 10 days per statute for records of the period January 1st, 2010 (and all subsequent months) through December 31st, 2011:

1. Check Registers, for all accounts, years 2010 & 2011
2. Deposit Registers, for all accounts, years 2010 & 2011

I allow for the editing of information which is not able to be released under statute. No documents should be withheld, but only if necessary, information not able to be released under law may be edited.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

If there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request.

I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

If altering the request to only include a list of check registers for years 2010 & 2011 for all Leon County government accounts would help then please accept this message as confirmation to fulfill said records.

I may submit a request for county deposit registers at a future date.

I appreciate your attentiveness to this request.

The Leon County Government website has a section entitled "Financial Transparency" and a sub-section for check registers.

This is exactly the type of records and scope of records I am requesting for calendar years 2010 and 2011. The above URL will show specific examples of what has been requested. I am sure you are familiar with what is being requested but to elaborate even further: a list of check registers for Leon County which show: Date, Check Number, Payee and Check Amount which are currently published on the internet but this request is specific to registers which are not currently published and the requested registers are for the calendar years 2010 and 2011.

I am not seeking payroll check registers for county employees.

It would be helpful if you can also provide a check register for disbursements from any accounts from the registry of the Leon County District Clerk or County Clerk as well if this information is not included in the check registers that have been requested.

This should answer all questions and is a very specific, narrow and simple request.

Please provide me with an estimate of monies that may be needed if you choose to charge in filling this records request before filling and I will review and pay.

If you chose to charge for filling this request an estimate should be provided showing details of estimated charges for labor and copies.

If you have an estimate of when the records request could be filled this is also helpful.

If you have any questions or need additional clarification to fulfill this request then please do not hesitate to ask for said in writing.
