Request for Body Cam Footage of Incident – Rep. Mary Cavanagh Arrest

Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Date: February 25, 2023
Location: Livonia, Michigan
Individual Involved: Mary Cavanagh, 30
Incident Summary: Rep. Mary Cavanagh was pulled over around 2 a.m. after officers observed her swerving between lanes and driving with two flat tires. During the traffic stop, she admitted to drinking at a political fundraiser and underwent a field sobriety test, which she failed. Officers conducted a breathalyzer test, recording a BAC of .176% on scene and later .2% at the police station. She was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.
I am requesting copies of all body-worn camera footage from officers who:

Conducted the traffic stop and initial interaction with Rep. Cavanagh.
Administered the field sobriety test and breathalyzer.
Transported her to the Livonia Police Department for further testing.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
