March 20, 2018 Aaron Cooper CNN, New York 1 Time Warner Center 4th Floor / 0406M7 New York, NY 10019 RE: FOIA Request To whom it may concern: Pursuant to the Federal Freedom of Information act, 5 U.S.C. 552, Cable News Network, Inc. (“CNN”) requests access to and copies of all records related to the following: Any emails, memos, electronic postings, transmissions, or other documents or discussions accessible to GSA and dated after November 1, 2016, about encouraging, preferring, allowing, limiting, preventing or otherwise authorizing government travel to properties, owned by, licensed by, named for Donald Trump, or otherwise including the names “Trump” or “Mar-a-Lago” (aka Maralago, Mar A Lago). This should include, but not be limited to any internal GSA discussions, along with directives, questions, or requests made to FedRooms, Adventure Travel, AdTrav, National Travel, C2 Solutions, or other Travel Management systems or providers. I am requesting that fees be waived because release of the information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to public understanding of government operations and activities. If CNN’s request is denied in whole or in part, we ask that you justify all deletions by reference to the specific exemptions of FOIA, and release all segregable portions of otherwise exempt material. CNN reserves the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information. If you have any questions regarding this request, please contact me as soon as possible by email or phone. As a member of the news media disseminating information to the public, I would appreciate a full response as soon as possible. Nevertheless, I look forward to your reply within 20 business days, as the statute requires. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Aaron Cooper CNN, New York 917 513 3526 (cell) Aaron.Cooper@cnn.com
