Thank you for your reply. We have been asking PD to follow up with you, but they keep referring us back to Code Enforcement, which is under Community Development. Are you seeking records from PD, Code Enforcement, or both? We understand that the ordinance crosses over between PD and Code Enforcement.

It might be easier if you were to submit a PRA at LongBeach.gov/PRA but to the general city portal and not the PD portal. We on the city side don’t have access to the PD portal, so we can’t view or manage your request there, but we could view and manage the Code Enforcement side of the request if you seek records from there.

We apologize for the inconvenience and back-and-forth. We’re having some difficulty with getting any sort of definitive information from PD about your request, but we’ll keep trying. After reviewing your request, we have determined that clarification or more information is needed. Specifically, please provide an address so we can search for records. Per Rogers v. Superior Court (1993) 19 Cal. App. 4th 469, a request must be focused, specific, and clear enough so the agency can decipher what records are being sought.
