The initial response to your request for public records will be made within five business days (per RCW 42.56). Within that response period, we may complete your request, deny the request, or inform you that additional time is needed to process your request. Effective October 1, 2017, the fees for public records are as follows:
• Paper copies - $0.15 per page
• Public Records scanned into electronic format - $0.10 per page
• Every four electronic files or attachments uploaded to email, cloud based data storage service or other means of electronic delivery - $0.05
• Transmission of public records in an electronic format or for the use of city equipment to send records electronically - $0.10 per gigabyte
• The actual cost of any digital storage media or device provided by the city, the actual cost of any container or envelope used to mail copies and the actual postage or delivery charge
• Effective 1/1/2022, Longview will charge $41.80 per hour redaction fee. This fee applies to Body Worn Camera video requests only.
A 10% deposit will be required before the request is processed.

Each external complaint had to be looked at individually to determine whether the complaint was alleging criminal behavior.
