Unfortunately the Mayor's office's representation is incorrect.

See attached responsive email which I have obtained from another source. Please conduct a more thorough search and send me all responsive documents. I understand that this is a politicially tricky topic, to have the Mayor's office giving the Executive Director of an entity accused of being a slumlord insider information, but that should not be a reason to withhold documents.

Thank you.

Thank you for your letter. How is the Mayor’s office searching for these public records? Has the Office contacted the IT department to request that it search for the @ahf.org and aidshealth.org domains and in City employee email accounts? Does the Office delete a former employee’s entire email account, thereby destroying public records? If so, please send me the Mayor’s Office’s written email retention policies.

The Mayor’s office publicly supported the sale of Skid Row Housing Trust buildings to AHF, so it is difficult to understand that the Mayor’s office has no communications with AHF for the last five years.

Please advise me of the steps you took to search for these records. Because responsive documents exist as I have shown you by attaching a responsive document to my last communication, and it appears the Mayor’s Office is withholding responsive documents.
