Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250), I hereby request the following records:
1. All communications to and from Councilmember Herb Wesson and his staff between January 1, 2015 and the present related or referring to the appointment of a Petroleum Administrator, including, but not limited, to any communications related to Motion 89-A to instruct the City Administrator to fill the Petroleum Administrator position and any communications related or referring to any qualifications or requirements for the Petroleum Administrator position.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Thanks for your response, Mr. Johnson, though I believe you accidentally sent records responsive to a request filed by my colleague Aaron Cantú for communications to and from Ek & Sunkin, Breitling, and Freeport McMoran.
These records do contain some of the information I was requesting, but I'd like to make sure that I have all the records related to the hiring of a petroleum administrator. For instance, the records you sent me indicate that there were 3 people interviewed for the petroleum administrator position and that Council President Wesson's staff received resume packets from all the applicants, however all I have is one resume forwarded to the Council President directly from the applicant John Randall.
Can you please provide the interview materials from the petroleum administrator candidates and see if there are any other records responsive to my request?
