From: Ben Welsh
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all reports generated by the FireStat statistical analysis unit.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Ben Welsh

Hello,
I do not provide this information. I have forwarded your email along with
your previous 2 other emails for different types of records to another unit

Ms. Lozano,
Thank you for the response. Should the contact for CPRA requests made to the LAFD via MuckRock be updated to be someone other than yourself? If so, who?
Sincerely,
Ben Welsh

Hello,
I think the request is put to me because I work the directories for LAFD
and as well as archive documents for the dept. I don't actually work with
the archived documents themselves, I just send the boxes to archives. We
have a lot of employee movement so sending the request to me would be the
best way to get the request to the current staff working in the Units that
handle the information you are requesting.
*In case you can not reach me (I was on vacation the last couple of weeks)
there is a staff in my unit that can help direct your request. You can
email our Unit at
People who can view this email are my staff and my Supervisors

Chief,
I'm writing to memorialize a telephone call we had today. You told me that hundreds or thousands of reports are issued by FireStat and that you could not acquire and reproduce them all. After some discussion, I narrowed my request to only those FireStat reports generated in calendar year 2018 at the request of Chief Terrazas.
