Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Body-worn camera recording(s) from the March 27 incident in which LASD Special Enforcement Bureau personnel assisted with the arrest of a kidnapping suspect in the 800 block of Muscatel Avenue. I would like recordings from the deputies who pursued the suspect after he escaped the police perimeter, and if it was a separate LASD deputy who made the arrest, I would like his/her footage as well.
I do not need the footage in its entirety, although that is acceptable to me if it is easier for you to simply provide all of it. I would like the footage from approximately five minutes before he escaped the perimeter until about five minutes after he was arrested.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment or other means, such as a downloadable file from Dropbox or Google Drive.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
