Dear Requester,
Thank you for reaching out. Wisconsin’s public records law requires that public records requests be reasonably specific as to subject matter. Wis. Stat. §19.35(1)(h). This is intended to prevent the records custodian from having to guess at what records a requester desires, and to avoid imposition of undue burdens on the university that would impair the functioning of the offices that need to be involved in processing a request. To the extent that the first part of your request, for “any and all records and materials...” constitutes a records request, it cannot be fulfilled because it does not identify a specific record or records in which you are interested in as required by Wis. Stat §19.35(1)(h).

If you could specify what you are looking for, we would be happy to move forward with your request once you've specified. To assist you further, below is what we have previously released related to this case to other requesters:

Incident report
Video and audio interviews with Khari Sandford and Alijah Larrue

Would this meet the needs of your request? If it does, we are happy to process this. If you would like other records, please specify what records you are requesting. If you would like access to the video and audio, please review, complete and return the attached form to us via email.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach back out.

Thank you,
