Pursuant to the Mississippi Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Dear Tonja Johnson,
I am writing to request any documentation related to Mayor Gene McGee's decision to withhold library funding as reported in the Clarion Ledger (January 28, 2022), including emails, text messages, recorded phone calls, internal memos, or other work products. We expect relevant communications would be between Director Johnson, Mayor McGee, the president of the board of trustees, other librarians. We would also be interested in trustee meeting minutes from the relevant time frame and any communications from patrons on the topic during the months of January and February 2022.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
