To Muckrock.com

You have requested that this office provide: All available records (including consumer complaints, memos, communications, and investigations) containing the following non-case sensitive phrases:

- Conversion Therapy,
- Sexual Orientation Change Efforts (SOCE),
- Ex-Gay Therapy,
- Reparative Therapy, and/or
- Same-Sex Attraction (SSA) Therapy.

Our response is as follows:

Investigations and consumer complaints are not public records so we would not produce them even if we had any, which we do not.

We do not have any memos responsive to your request.

We do have some emails and newsletters that contain the phrase "Conversion Therapy." We do not have documents that contain any of the other phrases you describe in your request. The emails that we have concern LD 912 which was introduced in our legislature last session. That bill involved a ban on conversion therapy. I am going to send the emails that I found to you as attachments. It will take more than one email to get them all to you. These are emails that I sent and received. It should give you a complete picture of the email chains that were exchanged at that time. This production may not be complete. If you want us to do an exhaustive search to make sure we have all of the possible emails regarding LD 912, it will take several hours to complete such a search and will involve some expense to you. Please let me know if you want us to continue to do work on this matter or to give you an estimate of what it would cost to do so.
