Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Full case documentation and autopsy report for Shawn Bryant (DOB 8/31/64) who died in policy custody on July 6, 2004. This should include, but not be limited to; police response report, CAD data from 911 call, autopsy report, witness statements, etc.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Dear Requester:

On June 6, 2022, the Maryland State Police received your request under the
Public Information Act (Annotated Code of Maryland, General Provisions
Article §§4-101 through 4-601) seeking the above captioned information.

I have checked our in-house databases and have found no incidents handled
by the Department which match your given criteria. It appears that you have
made your request to the wrong agency.

Pursuant to GP § 4-362, you are entitled to seek judicial review of this
decision. You also have the option to file a complaint with the Public
Information Act Compliance Board concerning the amount of the fee charged,
see GP § 4-1A-01 et seq., and may also refer any concerns about this
decision to the Public Access Ombudsman pursuant to GP § 4-1B-01 et seq.

Having responded to your request, the Maryland State Police now considers
this part of your request to be closed. The Central Records Division will
be responding to the balance of your request.
