Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250), I hereby request the following records:
All email and text messages (i.e. SMS messages) related to city business and affairs sent from and received by Menlo Park city council members and California Apartment Association, for the dates of January 5, 2017 through January 13, 2017.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

This letter is to inform you that the City will require additional time to process your request. Under unusual circumstances, the City may be allowed up to 14 additional calendar days to complete your request. In this case, additional time is required due to the need to search for, identify and receive any responsive records from devices other than those owned/managed by the City. We anticipate completing your request on or before Nov. 16, 2017.
