To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code ยงยง 6250), I hereby request the following records:
Lease leaseback agreements under California Education Code Section 17406 since Jan. 1, 2003 to the date of the request, specifically copies of Site Leases and Lease Agreements between school districts and contractors and/or construction companies.
This includes agreements with the Public Property Financing Corporation of California or similar non-profit organizations.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Brian Krans

Thank you for your request.
Weaver Union School District has 3 school sites and none of them were
Lease-Leaseback Agreements to my knowledge.

Hi, John.
If I could get official word from your school board counsel on my request regarding the district's use or non-use of lease leaseback agreements, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian Krans

Mr. Krans,
Thank you for your inquiry. As Superintendent and Secretary of the Board
of Trustees, I have the authority to respond to your request. Requesting a
letter from our Board Counsel would incur additional legal fees to the
District and for that reason, I will not be providing a response written by
our Board Counsel at $150/hour.
I will communicate to you again that we are a very small District with only
three (3) school sites and none of those sites were build using the LLB
delivery model.
I appreciate you reaching out to me again for clarification.
John Curry, Superintendent
CLES President
