Request for Bodycam and Arrest Records – March 27, 2025 Arrest of Samuel Davila in Mexia, TX

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I am requesting any and all records related to the March 27, 2025 arrest of Samuel Davila in Mexia, Texas. According to public reporting, Mexia Police responded to a location on Willow Street to serve an active warrant for unlawful carrying of a weapon. Davila reportedly attempted to flee on foot before being arrested and transported to Limestone County Jail.

Specifically, I request access to the following records:

Body-worn camera footage from all responding officers

Any dash camera footage if a patrol vehicle was involved

Arrest report(s) and incident narrative(s)

Dispatch call logs or radio communications

Use of force reports or any related supplemental materials

Booking or intake information available from Mexia PD

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
