FOIA- Michigan State and Fox Sports contracts

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

All contracts between Michigan State University and Fox Sports, FOX Sports College Properties, and/ or Home Team Sports since January 1, 2016 and the date your office processes this request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. I am a reporter with ThinkProgress, an online publication covering politics and policy in Washington, DC.

Please provide expedited processing of this request which concerns a matter of urgency. As a journalist, I am primarily engaged in disseminating information. The public has an urgent need for this information because it addresses an issue of national importance and is in regard to the university’s efforts to enforce Title IX.

I request a waiver of all fees considering I work for a news organization with a significant Michigan readership and this is involving a story of high local interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filed electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
