Communications
From: Matthew Petti
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any communications to or from Israeli Consulate General in the Midwest between 26 August 2024 to the date this request is processed.
On 5 September 2024, Israeli Consul General to the Midwest Yinam Cohen announced on social media, "This week, as the new academic year begins, I sent letters to the heads of leading universities in the Midwest, urging them to ensure the safety and security of Jewish and pro-Israel students in the coming year." (See the following link: https://x.com/YinamCohen/status/1831444475576492312). I am seeking the full copy of his letter and any response from the university.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Matthew Petti
