Pursuant to the Montana Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I am looking for an affidavit statement filed with with Missoula police on or about May 26th, 1982 by Craig Carroll Young (DOB: 5/22/1951) related to a perceived threat on his life by his business associates Barton Munro and Samuel Shuman. Any and all records related to Craig Young would be appreciated.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

The request states the affidavit was filed with Missoula Police; please contact them for further assistance. However, if you believe it was the Sheriff's Office, due to records retention as set forth by the Montana Secretary of State, non-felony cases dating back to 1982 have been destroyed. As for "any and all records related to Craig Young", a name-based search of available databases does not show any contact with this individual.
