Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250), I hereby request the following records:
Between January 2010 to present, any invoices, bills, contracts, emails or other correspondence, (except actual investigation reports themselves) to/from Norman Traub and Associates or Frank Hauptmann for outsourced police employee background investigations.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for your follow up.
Staff has conducted a thorough search and determined that the City does not maintain records in a way that identifies responsive documents specific to Police Employee Background Investigation services performed by Norman Traub and Associates. No records were found related to Frank Hauptmann Investigations. As such, there are no records responsive to your request.
I sincerely apologize for the delay in responding. I did send a follow-up question to someone in our HR division and will certainly provide an update should their reply provide responsive documents. It could be a few days before they have time to do additional research and I didn’t want to leave you hanging any longer.
