Montana DOJ contracts with Harris Corporation

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Montana's Constitution, Article II, § 9, I hereby request the following records:

Copies of all contractual documentation and associated correspondence between the Montana Department of Justice and the Harris Corporation which depicts, describes or identifies purchase of products or services from Harris Corporation and associated documentation between 1 January 2004 through 1 January 2014.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I'd like to know what equipment and services, if any, the DOJ has received from the Harris Corp. of Melbourne Florida, which might also be listed as the Harris Wireless Products Group.

Specifically, I am looking for equipment known as StingRay, StingRay II, AmberJack, KingFish, TriggerFish and LoggerHead, and/or accompanying services.

In other agency purchase orders the stingray has been listed as item number: SRAY, or SRAY-II etc.
