Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:
Any email messages and/or attachments sent or received on any official BPS email account between January 1, 2016 and present that concern or make mention of any of the following topics:
- The November 2016 ballot question regarding charter school policy, a/k/a Question2
- “Great Schools Massachusetts”
- “Save Our Public Schools”
- “Boston Education Justice Alliance” (BEJA)
- “Massachusetts Education Justice Alliance” (MEJA)
- “Massachusetts Jobs with Justice”
- “Citizens for Public Schools”
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

In response to your October 13, 2016 email attached please find another copy of the response to that the school district previously issued in response to your public records request. Please be advised that when the school district initially
received the September 15, 2016 request from JPat Brown of MuckRock it responded to the request on September 23, 2016. When you sent your inquiry on October 3, 2016 as to the status of the district's response to this public records request, the
school district on October 3, 2016 forwarded you a copy of its original response from September 23, 2016. In response to your inquiry of today's day as to the status of the school district's response to this public records request, the school
district is sending you copies (again) of its prior to responses to this public records request.
A copy of this package will also be mailed to MuckRock at the address indicated in your email of today's date.
