Pursuant to the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, I hereby request the following documents:

All contracts (and their amendments) and memorandums of understanding entered into by the Town of Estancia, New Mexico for services and activities related to the Torrance County Detention Facility (https://www.cca.com/facilities/torrance-county-detention-facility)

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

Good morning,

We have received your request in regards to the Torrance County Detention Facility. The Town of Estancia does not have any relations in regards to a contract/services with TCDF other than to provide utilities such as water.
Could this request possibly be meant for Torrance County, whom has a contract with the Torrance County Detention Facility as opposed to the Town of Estancia? If this is not the case and you do in fact mean the Town of Estancia, please clarify as to what specifically you are looking for.

The Town of Estancia does not have any of the requested documents as the Corrections Corporation of America facility was not within the Town limits upon construction.
