Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all documents, including but not limited to, applications, agreements, and reporting documents related to the $20,000 awarded to the LaGrange Police Department for the Illinois Attorney General FY25 Organized Retail Crime Grant program.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear MuckRock News:
The Village does not have any application in its possession or control. Village personnel applied for the Organized Retail Crime Grant through an online portal administered by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. We are not sure how other law enforcement agencies completed an application. They may have prepared a paper application or have print-outs from the Attorney General’s online portal. But the Village of La Grange does not. We cannot provide you records we do not have.
To the extent that you desire to see the application materials completed in the online portal, you may want to submit a request to the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. We assume that the Attorney General’s Office has copies of all information submitted.
