Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
The most recent contract (i.e. council resolution, contract extension, contract amendments, cure notices, or other revisions to agreements) between the city and SoundThinking, Inc., formerly ShotSpotter, Inc.. This document(s) should include the total cost over the life of the contract and the current expiration date.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

This message acknowledges that the Harris County Clerk’s Office (HCCO) received your Public Information Act Request. This message also serves as notification of the need for clarification.
Your request states:

This document(s) should include the total cost over the life of the contract and the current expiration date.”
The request alludes to “the city.” Please provide clarification. There are 34 incorporated cities in Harris County. If you meant to send the request to the City of Houston, send the request directly to the city. The County Clerk does NOT maintain records for any of the cities within Harris County.
Note, pursuant to Tex. Gov’t Code Ann. § 552.222(b and d), by the 61st day after the date this written request for clarification is sent, if the Harris County Clerk’s Office does not receive a written response from you, your underlying request for public information is considered to have been withdrawn.
