Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Related to district HVAC systems for the last five years:
Maintenance records
inspection reports
air quality tests
capital improvement reports for all district schools
As background, this request is filed as part of a journalism project looking at HVAC systems across schools in the United States, and similar requests are being filed in additional school districts.
If you have summary reports or other documents that are likely to include largely similar information and are easier to provide, I’m willing to accept those as a substitute.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

I'm following up on the following California Public Records Act request, copied below, and originally submitted on Jan. 13, 2022. You had previously indicated that it would be completed on March 18, 2022. I wanted to check on the status of my request, and to see if there was a new estimated completion date.

Thank you for the follow-up. After substantial review, the District has no documents responsive to your request. OUHSD does not have any maintenance reports, inspection reports, or capital improvement reports specific to HVAC because they are actually right now completing a project to add HVAC to its schools. With respect to indoor quality testing reports, after review of its records, the District was unable to identify any records reflecting that it has ever used a hygienist to test indoor air quality in the OUHSD.
