Complete FOIA logs from August 3, 2024 through November 8, 2024 (inclusive of those dates).
At minimum, please include the following:
Date the request was filed
Name of requestor,
status of the request,
Request System assigned identifier such as a Request Number, if applicable
Please provide the record in an excel format. I have attached an equivalent FOIA log that reflects what I am looking for.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

The Chicago Park District (the “Park District”) responds to all public records requests by the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 ILCS 140/1 et seq. Please expect a response by Tuesday November 19, 2024 by close of business. If additional time is needed to assemble and copy all documents responsive to your FOIA request, we will contact you with a time estimate and a request to extend.
Please note that the Chicago Park District is closed for Veteran’s Day Monday November 11, 2024.

As stated in the letter, we are still working on this request. Per section 140/3(e), the Park District is extending the time to respond to your request by five business days and I will get it to you sooner if it is possible. The reasons:
(x) the requested records require examination and evaluation by personnel having the necessary competence and discretion to determine if they are exempt from disclosure under Section 7 of this Act or should be revealed only with appropriate deletions
If this is acceptable to you, please respond in writing to agree to this extension. The new due date for your request is Friday December 6, 2024 by close of business. Please note that the Chicago Park District is closed for Thanksgiving Day holiday Thursday November 28, 2024. We await your response.
