Pursuant to the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all South Bend Police Department policies, training materials, and manuals for the City Protect program.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.

We are in receipt of your Access to Public Records Request, received by the South Bend Police Department via mail, on 9/18/2023. This is being sent to acknowledge we have received the request. It will be processed as allowable, within a "reasonable" amount of time. That amount of time is dependent upon the nature, volume, and scope of your request. Indiana law only requires an acknowledgement within 7 days of receipt of an Access to Public Records.

This program pulls data from Motorola, which we use via PSAP, so Muckrock will need to APRA them. Motorola is the CAD program PSAP uses for all agencies they dispatch for.
