Pursuant to the Nebraska Public Records Statutes, I hereby request the following records:
A log of public records requests submitted to the Department of Economic Development that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and the date the request was filled. Ideally I would like this information for the period from 2004 to the present.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is made in the process of academic research and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

All of the above-requested information being referred to below as "Public Records".
Dear Mr. Peterson:
In your written request (via e-mail) received at the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (“Department”) on July 13, 2015, you have asked that we furnish you with Public Records. I will treat your request as having been made pursuant to the Nebraska Public Records statutes, Section 84‑712 et seq., Nebraska Revised Statutes.
The Department does not possess or maintain a log of public records requests.
The Department is not at this point denying any portion of your request. Rather, we are informing you that the record you have requested does not exist.
For the information furnished via this letter, we are not imposing any charges for the staff time involved. We are entitled to impose such charges, but in this instance we are waiving such charges.
