Public Records Request - Paul Prather of Littler Mendelson P.C. (Law Firm)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Tennessee's Public Records Act. I hereby request the following records:

All records related to Paul Prather in his professional capacity as an attorney, he is an employee of the law firm named Littler Mendelson P.C., within the State of Tennessee from 2010 to 2023 (present day). In the event that this request is overly broad or produces results in excess of 100, please let me know and I will clarify further.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage, as well to democratize and make equitable the access of these records to the public.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available. I request that any records maintained in an electronic format be provided in that same format (such as a PDF, CSV or XLS file), to avoid copying costs. If that is not possible, I prefer a CD-ROM or a USB drive as a secondary alternative.

I would also appreciate an approximate time frame for this request to be processed.

If you deny any part of this request, please cite each specific exemption you think justifies your refusal to release the information and notify me of appeal procedures available under the law.

Can you elaborate further? The Florida Bar Association had no issue complying with such a request. I realize that Florida and Tennessee are different states with different public records requests laws, but I ask for the reason(s) and rationale that you think justifies your refusal to release the information and notify me of appeal procedures.
