Pursuant to Delaware's Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Copies of all in-service training records, including firearms qualification records, for Chief of Police Daniel Tjaden from January 1, 2014 to the present.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

This is my fourth and final attempt to receive a response to my FOIA request. The City of New Castle has well exceeded the 15 day response time and I have received no communication from the City regarding this request.
If a response is not received in two business days I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General.

Thank you for the email with the attached documents. I noticed that it is only the firearms qualification records. Are there no additional, non firearm related, in-service training records for Chief Tjaden for the time period requested?

That is correct. I am advised that a Police Chief’s attendance at the annual 3 day Police Chief’s conference satisfies a chief’s continuing training requirements. To my knowledge, no documentation is provided to participants such as Chief Tjaden to confirm that attendance. Hence, we had no further documentation to submit.
