Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Incident Details for Footage Retrieval:
Date: August 29, 2024
Location: Pennsville Auburn Road (County Route 551) near Stumpy Lane, Oldmans Township, NJ
Suspect: Sean Higgins, 44
Incident Summary: Sean Higgins was arrested following a crash that resulted in the deaths of Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau. Bodycam footage captures officers conducting a field sobriety test, Higgins admitting to consuming alcohol, and his subsequent arrest. Police report that Higgins' blood alcohol level was .087, above the legal limit.
I am requesting copies of all body-worn camera footage from officers who:
Engaged with Sean Higgins at the crash scene.
Conducted the field sobriety test.
Took Higgins into custody and transported him.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
