Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:
A log or listing of businesses, including the name, address, contact information and any other information provided in the filings of Business Cretificates, Form X-74 that have been filed with the county for the past 10 years.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

In our capacity as Clerk of the County, this Office receives filings of certificates by persons conducting business under assumed name or as partners, pursuant to General Business Law § 130.
The information from these filed certificates is searchable and viewable by you and all members of the public free of charge at www.richmondcountyclerk.com<http://www.richmondcountyclerk.com>. On the lower right hand portion of the home-page, click on “Clerk Minutes and Business” in the “Useful Links” box. This will take the searcher to search screens which permit numerous options for searching the public record.
As the records are public records which are already fully accessible and available to the public, the records fall outside the scope of New York’s Freedom of Information Law.
