FOIL request log (New York State Office of Children and Family Services)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:

A log of all requests for agency records under the Freedom of Information Law received over the past three years, or as far back as such records are maintained.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for your quick response. The followup below errantly labeled this request as FOIL #14-163, which pertained to your agency's FOIL rules and regulations and which your agency did answer earlier this month.

The present FOIL request, which per our records has never been answered or acknowledged by OCFS , pertains to a log of FOIL requests received by OCFS. See the original communication below from December 19, 2014, which was sent to info@ocfs.ny.gov, and the followup sent to the same email address on January 6, 2015.

Please confirm receipt of the present FOIL request.

Per my records, FOIL #14-162 pertains to the employee listing for OCFS. The present FOIL request is for the log maintained by OCFS of FOIL requests received for the past three (3) years, or as far back as such a log is maintained. Per our records, this FOIL request for the FOIL log of OCFS has never been acknowledged.
