Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

New York State Senate:
All documents, including but not limited to reports, research findings, statistical tabulations, and correspondence, that were reviewed or referenced during the drafting and review phase of proposed bill 2023-S1402. This includes any supporting information related to the justification, historical inequities, specific studies indicating increased student engagement, positive academic outcomes, and other relevant data.
New York State Assembly:
Similar to the request made to the New York State Senate, I request all documents, reports, research findings, statistical tabulations, and correspondence related to the drafting and review phase of proposed bill 2023-S1402. This encompasses the supporting information that justifies the statements made within the bill, including historical inequities, studies on increased student engagement, positive academic outcomes, and any other relevant data.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
