Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:
A log of all requests for agency records under the Freedom of Information Law received over the past three years, or as far back as such records are maintained.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Please clarify whether you mean that an acknowledgement letter or another response was sent in response to this particular request for the ACS FOIL log, submitted by fax to ACS on December 19.
The sole acknowledgement received to date in response to the four FOIL requests submitted to ACS is the attached letter dated December 22, which was sent by mail in response to the request for ACS FOIL rules and regulations (submitted by fax December 16). Requests for the ACS subject matter listing and employee listing — both also submitted by fax on December 19 — have yet to be acknowledged, either.

Attached is the FOIL request submitted by fax to ACS at 212-341-0726 on Friday, December 19, 2014 for the agency's FOIL request log.
Subsequent followups were likewise sent by fax for this request to the same fax number on January 6, January 14 and January 29. We received confirmation of successful delivery of the fax via our email-to-fax service for all communications. The full correspondence chain is also printed below.
