Subject: Resubmission of FOIL Appeal for Records Relating to FOIL Logs
I am writing to resubmit my appeal for the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request originally submitted on August 5, 2022. The request was acknowledged on August 25, 2022, and multiple extensions were granted, the last of which promised a response on or before March 2, 2023. However, no such response has been provided.
### Grounds for Appeal
1. **Failure to Respond by Stated Date**: Despite multiple extensions, the last of which promised a response by March 2, 2023, the District has failed to provide the requested records or any further communication. This constitutes a denial of access under FOIL.
2. **Excessive Delay**: The request was initially submitted in August 2022, and it has been over seven months without a substantive response. This excessive delay is contrary to the spirit and letter of FOIL.
